Education

In 1994, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature from Union College in Schenectady, New York. Union College was established in 1795 and is the first higher education institution chartered by the state Board of Regents. It is a private institution of liberal arts.

Before attending Union College, he attended Connecticut's The Taft Boarding School. Taft is an academically rigorous college preparatory school for both genders.

During their personal college life, Eric met his wife, Alexandra Kreisler. He and his wife currently reside with their four children in Los Angeles.

Volunteer and Charitable Work

College hockey player Eric Weinberger is passionate about youth sports. He serves on the board of directors for the youth hockey team, The California Golden Bears. The Golden Bears are one of California's oldest youth hockey clubs. It seeks to instil in youth the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, community service, and developing their hockey skills. It also teaches young people about healthy eating and exercise habits.

He also coaches the sports teams of his children.

He also serves on the board of directors for Hav-A-Sole, which provides homeless and other marginalized people with high-quality sneakers. Since 2014, the non-profit organization has provided over 50,000 pairs of shoes to individuals in forty cities. The organization provides sneakers because many homeless individuals have medical issues related to their footwear, and sneakers can provide the necessary support and comfort.
